My Path to Becoming a Youth Minister

hey guys, my name is Will, and i am on my way to becoming a youth minister, let me update you on that process so far.

Today, i called Johnson Bible College, and talk to someone, i cant recall the name of the gentleman but he was very helpful. He informed me quite a bit about the college, and answered alot of my questions about the admissions process, and what needed to be done to gain entrance into the college. I also went to my past colleges, minus ECPI, and collected the unoffical transcripts, and yes i know that I need the offical ones to get into the college, i got these becuase i need to know the dates, for some of the jobs i am trying to get. I am also going to lunch either, Tuesday or Wednesday with Jon Hauser, Shawn Maurer, and Katie Rath so that i can ask them questions and learn some about the process of becoming a youth minister, what the classes and such are like, and what being an actual youth minister is like. I will update you tomorrow on how that goes, and for now that is all, feel free to comment, and if you want to know what you can do for me.....PRAY. I need plenty of prayer, and dont we all, but i would deffinently appreciate the prayer, and if you have advice about JBC, then please tell me.

  1. I hope this works out for you man and I will be praying for you! But right now you need to go out there and find some crappy part time job, so you can save up some money before going to this school. Cause you are going to need the money, so you need to try to do this as quickly as possible! Again I will be praying for you man.

  3. FAFSA!!!! Fill it out NOW! You can also do work study at JBC and all, half, or none of the money you make can go towards paying for school. You need to call Financial Aid ASAP! I'm not sure who works in Financial Aid anymore. The people who worked there when I went there aren't there anymore. Oh and Pinedale will give you $500/semester for going there. You have to talk to the missions committee. You also have to send in a letter each semester updating them on your studies, life, etc. and send them a copy of your transcript each semester. It's an easy scholarship to get!

  5. Aw...I'm trying to be as helpful as possible! I have been there and been through a lot that JBC has to offer. P.S. You should try out for Tour Choir if you want to travel and sing. You don't have to join the tour choir though if you wanna be involved with a choir. However, Mr. Weaver is AMAZING!!!! I ADORE HIM!!! P.S. If you meet him/join Tour Choir/whatever, tell him I said hi!
